Combining engineering leadership and classroom experience to support strong schools and successful students in Alvin ISD.
I am a proud Alvin ISD Alum, and this district helped shape who I am today. My parents immigrated from Mexico in pursuit of a better life, and I grew up in a hardworking, Spanish-speaking household. I attended Alvin ISD schools, participated in bilingual education, and experienced firsthand the power of teachers who believe in their students and open doors of opportunity.
I became the first in my family to graduate from college, an achievement that changed the trajectory of our family’s future and strengthened my belief in the power of education to transform lives.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Tyler and later a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. My engineering background taught me to approach complex challenges with analytical thinking, disciplined planning, and a focus on measurable results.
I began my career in engineering, including offshore work with Chevron, before serving in federal legislative and policy roles in Washington, D.C., where I worked on research, oversight, and workforce development initiatives. Those experiences gave me a strong foundation in governance, accountability, and responsible decision making.
I returned home to serve as an AP Physics teacher in Alvin ISD, where I was honored to be named District Rookie Teacher of the Year. I was later promoted to Science Department Head and Instructional Coach, leading instructional strategy, supporting teachers and staff, and strengthening STEM pathways for students.
Beyond the classroom, I have led large-scale STEM and workforce development initiatives at the nonprofit level, managing million-dollar budgets, overseeing cross-functional teams, and partnering with school districts, universities, and industry leaders to connect education to real-world opportunity.
Today, I am a husband and father of three, raising my children in the same district that invested in me. My wife is also an engineer, and together we believe deeply in the importance of strong schools and meaningful opportunity.
I have also proudly served for four years as an Alvin Volunteer Firefighter. That experience has strengthened my commitment to safety, accountability, and stepping forward when our community needs leadership most. I bring that same dedication to protecting and serving Alvin ISD students, families, teachers, and staff.
I believe in showing up for students, supporting teachers and staff, and partnering with parents to ensure every Alvin ISD family is supported and every student is future ready with strong academics, practical skills, and meaningful opportunities.

To serve Alvin ISD students and families by strengthening academics, supporting teachers and staff, and making transparent, responsible decisions that keep our schools safe and focused on student success.
An Alvin ISD where every student graduates prepared for college, a career, or service; where families have confidence in district leadership; and where growth never comes at the expense of quality, safety, or fiscal responsibility.
Local races are won through community support. Your time and contributions help us reach voters across the district.
